Wendell Restoration Orlando has been drying out homes and clearing out mold across Central Florida since 2006. But the trucks and the equipment are only half the story. The people who show up at your door are the other half. Our Orlando crew is small enough that you’ll see the same faces on every visit, and experienced enough to handle everything from a slow pipe leak in College Park to full-scale water damage in Winter Park. Every technician is background-checked, uniformed, and trained to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards. No subs, no strangers, no guessing games.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Blake Sorensen, Owner & Lead Restoration Technician
Blake founded Wendell Restoration Orlando in 2006 and has spent nearly two decades crawling under Orlando homes, pulling baseboards, and running psychrometric drying calculations (tracking the air’s moisture level so we know when your home is truly dry, not just surface-dry). He holds IICRC certifications in water damage restoration and applied structural drying, and he’s the one who signs off on the 365-Day Done Right Promise on every job. Blake’s personal rule: never ask a technician to do something he wouldn’t do himself, which is why you’ll still find him on job sites with a moisture meter in hand. On weekends, he’s usually fishing Lake Conway or tinkering with a 1987 Chevy pickup that runs about as often as it doesn’t.
Marcus T., Senior Water Damage Technician
Marcus has been with Wendell Restoration Orlando since 2014 and leads most of the larger water damage restoration projects in the Orlando market. He specializes in hardwood floor drying systems and has logged hundreds of hours on Injectidry panel drying setups, which pull moisture out of walls and ceilings without tearing them apart. Marcus is the guy who can walk into a flooded living room in Baldwin Park, take one look at the baseboards, and tell you whether those floors can be saved. He grew up in Pine Hills and knows the quirks of Orlando’s older slab homes better than most code inspectors. Marcus coaches youth soccer at a community league on the weekends and is fiercely competitive about it, in a way that his players find both inspiring and slightly terrifying.
Elena R., Mold Remediation Specialist
Elena joined the Wendell Restoration Orlando crew in 2018 and holds specialized certification in mold remediation and containment. She builds the negative-air containment chambers, manages the HEPA filtration, and makes sure the remediation work meets IICRC standards before any rebuilding starts. Elena has a reputation for being uncompromising about air quality testing, which homeowners in humid Orlando neighborhoods like Conway and Azalea Park tend to appreciate given how fast mold gets a foothold here. She’s originally from Tampa and still claims Orlando’s Cuban sandwiches don’t measure up, which she will tell you about if you let the conversation run long enough. Elena keeps a rescue greyhound named Otto who has his own Instagram account that she absolutely refuses to show clients, which only makes everyone ask about it more.
Devon H., Apprentice Technician & Service Coordinator
Devon wears two hats at Wendell Restoration Orlando, splitting time between dispatching and running support on active jobs. He’s the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when you call about water pouring through your ceiling, and he’s also the one texting you live arrival times and before-and-after photos while our crew works. Devon is currently working toward his IICRC water restoration certification under Blake and Marcus, and he’s already earned his keep hauling drying equipment through attics in the middle of an Orlando August, which no certification class can prepare you for. He’s a UCF grad and a die-hard Knights fan, and he lost a friendly bet to Marcus last season that cost him an entire day of wearing a Gators shirt on the job. He doesn’t like to talk about it.
One Standard, Every Job
Every member of the Wendell Restoration Orlando team works under the same non-negotiable rules, whether it’s a small leak or a whole-house flood. The price goes in writing before we touch anything, and the number you approve is the number you pay via a digital invoice texted to your phone. Every repair gets a written guarantee under the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, and that includes a free second visit if the repair fails. Our crews follow IICRC, RIA, and IFA-standard practices and run professional-grade equipment from Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry on every job. And when you call Wendell Restoration Orlando at (850) 771-2670, a live person answers, 24/7. Not a phone tree, not a voicemail, not a callback queue. That’s The Relay Standard, and it’s the only way our Orlando team works.
